Digex, Incorporated (BULLETIN BOARD: DIGX) , a leading provider of enterprise hosting services, announced today it has been listed in the "Leaders" quadrant in Gartner, Inc.'s 2003 North American Web Hosting Magic Quadrant*. This achievement marks the third year in a row that Gartner has listed Digex in the "Leaders" quadrant.
The Gartner Magic Quadrant is an analytical representation of a marketplace that measures vendors against Gartner-defined criteria for a specific time period. The positioning of vendors within a Magic Quadrant is based on the complex interplay of many factors. For the 2003 Web Hosting Magic Quadrant, Gartner evaluated 14 vendors. To be listed in the Leaders quadrant, a company must demonstrate that it is performing well today, has a clear vision of market direction and is actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.
"We are excited to be the only provider listed by Gartner for the third straight year in the Leaders quadrant. We feel this confirms our vision, strategy, and ability to execute in today's marketplace," says Bobby Patrick, vice president and chief marketing officer for Digex. "Digex provides organizations with a secure, integrated operations environment for cost- effectively deploying Web sites, Web Services and enterprise applications on the Internet. These enterprise hosting services will continue to play an increasingly critical role for businesses as they seek to adopt the Internet everywhere, consolidate technology platforms, extend legacy applications, and strengthen results from IT operations."

Gartner does not advise enterprises to select only those firms in the "Leaders" quadrant. In some situations, firms in the Visionary, Challenger, or Niche Player quadrants may be the right matches for an enterprise's requirements.
