Massaro has been elected to its Board of Directors, effective January 22, 2003.

Mr. Massaro spent most of his 30-year career with Frontier Corporation and its predecessor, Rochester Telephone Company. When he retired in 1998, Mr. Massaro was Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer. During his tenure with the company, Mr. Massaro gained extensive operational, financial, administrative and strategic experience in the local telephone, long distance and interconnect businesses. Mr. Massaro was a senior corporate officer during his last ten years with Frontier.

Mr. Massaro earned an MBA from the University of Rochester in 1980 and a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from the University of Rochester in 1969.

It is intended that Mr. Massaro will also serve on the Audit Committee and the Option Plan Committee of the company's Board of Directors.

The company also recently announced that Terry Nulty, previously President of Element K, (formerly Ziff Davis Education) has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Sales. "The appointment of Lou Massaro to our Board of Directors and the recent addition of Terry Nulty as our SVP of Sales clearly strengthens Choice One's strategic leadership and will enable us to build on our track record of growth and service to our clients," added Mr. Dubnik.
