Established in 1989, HIT Entertainment PLC is a fully integrated global studio, with divisions in the UK, U.S., Canada, Germany and Japan, including broadcast production and distribution, video and audio sales, consumer products licensing, and marketing. With some of the most popular characters in children's television, HIT Entertainment PLC was seeking to market the characters on the Internet to make them more accessible to their global base of young fans. The company estimated they would generate 14 million page views per year but has been pleasantly surprised to be on track to receive 140 million page views in part because of the improved infrastructure. HIT Entertainment PLC turned to Digex to handle the massive traffic demands in managing its numerous brands.
