Digex, Incorporated (NASDAQIGX), a leading provider of managed services, today announced the launch of ClientCentral 3.0, a series of upgrades to Digex's industry-leading customer portal. In its third edition, the portal provides a near real-time view of clients' site performance via a Web browser, and allows organizations to make business decisions based on timely and accurate information.

Initially launched in late 2000, the award-winning ClientCentral is an innovative, interactive, self-service customer portal that delivers the tools and technologies enterprises need to rapidly deploy and view Internet operations around-the-clock. ClientCentral is built around an XML framework, which allows Digex clients to "plug in" to Digex, permitting real-time interaction with the data in Digex's monitoring, server performance management, billing and trouble ticketing systems. The interface offers a variety of convenient online options for customers, including, service administration, case management, online billing, user administration, and a reference for Digex products and services. The standard ClientCentral portal is available to Digex customers at no additional cost.

ClientCentral features include:
<UL><LI>Firewall Policy View - allows clients who have purchased Managed Firewall services to see which rules have been implemented for their site. Additionally, this feature can be used to open a case for a rule change. </LI>
<LI>Server Maintenance Rotation - allows clients who have purchased high-end load balancing solutions to designate a Digex hosted server to be taken out of service for maintenance and to designate the server back in service at the end of maintenance.</LI>
<LI>Rolling Action Item List - presents a list of open project items currently being worked by Digex personnel. Project description, open date, responsible employee and item status are all presented.</LI>
<LI>Redesigned graphic user interface with a dynamic "digital dashboard" that provides an executive summary view on the main screen.</LI>
<LI>Ability to export data to Excel - in addition to the ability to download data in XML format that has been available since the inception of ClientCentral, Digex has now added the capability to download data in MS Excel format.</LI>
<LI>Addition of Document Management capabilities - allows for clients to view all site and procedural documentation related to their installation at Digex.</LI></UL>
OEConnection, the venture created by DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and ProQuest Company, provides automotive dealerships and their wholesale parts customers with online products and services for their parts and service information needs. The company uses ClientCentral for case management. "We use ClientCentral to get access to Digex's back-end systems anytime and anywhere and to automate time-intensive tasks," said David Curley, director of IT for OEConnection. "With ClientCentral's enhancements and increased functionality, we have even better visibility and control into our systems managed by Digex."

"Digex designed ClientCentral to work as a virtual extension of a corporation's IT department," said Tom Walton, vice president of engineering at Digex. "With our latest version, Digex can further provide clients the desired usability and real-time information that is critical to e-business planning and decision making in a format that is accessible and flexible."
