Modwest Inc., a growing provider of shared and managed hosting services, today announced new spam and virus filtering services available to their web hosting customers. Both services are included free with all Modwest’s shared hosting plans.

“Network security and data integrity are extremely important to us and our customers”, said Modwest VP John Masterson. “With the continued rise of viruses, worms, and other exploits, we felt that virus filtering was extremely important to add to our service offering.”

Spam filtering was a natural add-on to the virus filtering service. “While our engineering team was integrating the virus filtering software on our mail servers, they found it made sense to set up spam filtering at the same time. Unsolicited commercial email is something we and our customers have little patience for, and so providing customers with the flexible tools to flag, file, or delete spam on arrival should mitigate the load of bulk email to which our systems are subjected every day”, said Masterson.

Modwest says that the both new services are available now.
