Speedera Networks Inc., a top-tier global provider of content delivery services, today announced that it received the "Best Internet Facilitation Product or Service" award at the 17th Annual Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) Codie Award Gala held in Coronado, California this week. SIIA's prestigious Codie Awards showcase the finest products and services in the software and information industry. Speedera's SpeedSuite service went head-to-head against more than 25 other companies who were also nominated for the "Best Internet Facilitation Product or Service" category.

This year 325 companies nominated over 700 products for SIIA's coveted awards. First round judging was completed by a broad panel of judges consisting of representatives from the industry trade press, mainstream technology writers and industry experts. Second round judging is based on votes from SIIA members. At the ceremony, Codie Awards were presented to representatives of winning companies that publish business, education and consumer software along with vendors providing a wide array of services. The winning companies ranged from hot newcomers to established powerhouses such as Macromedia, Intuit, Symantec, Sun Microsystems, Autodesk and Adobe.
