Cape Clear(TM) Software, a leading provider of Web Services technology, today unveiled the company's global partner program, which has been designed to encourage the creation and use of products and services that are built around Web Services. Cape Clear Software is working with system integrators, independent software vendors (ISVs), and value-added resellers (VARs) to promote the use and support of Web Services. There are already over forty partners signed up to the program across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Cape Clear Software develops and markets products that enable developers to build and deploy Web Services quickly and easily, using the tools, languages and platforms they prefer. Cape Clear's products adhere to leading industry standards such as XML, SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI. Gartner Group Dataquest estimates that the software component of Web Services will expand to $1.7 billion by 2003.

"The objective of our partner program is to create a global network of Web Services expertise," commented David Kennedy, Partner Director at Cape Clear Software. "The advent of Web Services is opening software development and integration to a larger pool of developers and organizations than ever before. To support this opportunity, it is vital that the skills and expertise to build, deploy, and manage Web Services effectively are widely available. As a pure-play software vendor, we expect that the majority of our revenue, over time, will come through our partner channel. We are completely committed to ensuring that our partners have the information, tools, and expertise they need to market and build Web Services."

"We are seeing a growing interest in Web Services across all industries in Australia," said Paul Pogonoski, CTO at Japara Solutions in Australia. "Given that we specialize in enterprise integration using standards-based technology, it's important that we can offer our customers services utilizing the most open Web Services technology. We believe Cape Clear is leading the way in delivering tools and technologies that support the creation and deployment of effective Web Services. The partner program enables us to work closely with Cape Clear and gives us access to information we might not otherwise have, which ensures the best possible results for our customers."
