One year from the date of its original sale, the previous ownership group has re-acquired Iowa’s largest and only Top 25 rated web-hosting company, PowerSurge Technologies Inc. Armed with a multitude of new ideas coupled with their original dedication to service, the founding and now new ownership is poised to revitalize the company.
The re-acquisition of PowerSurge resulted from the founders themselves. “Being away from the pure excitement and adrenalin rush that PowerSurge and the web hosting industry provided for me was simply not something I wanted to continue. There are so many ideas and opportunities for some amazing things that you simply don’t see in the hosting industry now. This is certainly going to be a wild and exciting ride,” commented Ian Andrusyk, original co-founder and now President of PowerSurge Technologies, Inc.

Management

PowerSurge has re-instated Ian Andrusyk as company president and Travis Schaffner as chief technical officer. PowerSurge has also retained Terrance Bush and Aaron Phillips from the current management team. Both were extremely instrumental in PowerSurge’s continued success during Andrusyk and Schaffner’s absence from the company. Bush has taken over as the company’s CEO, and Phillips the VP of Sales & Marketing. The new management team’s excitement and commitment to the success of PowerSurge Technologies, has been extremely evident during the buy-out process. They hope to provide continued success for the rejuvenated company.

New Offerings

The new management team has presented many new goals to the staff. PowerSurge’s focus on customer satisfaction is a top priority. PowerSurge will be expanding toll free phone support hours to 7am – 7pm (Central Standard Time) starting June 4. ‘24/7’ phone support is imminent, with a projected start date to be announced summer 2001.
Along with enhanced phone support, PowerSurge will step out from behind the computer to be more interactive with customers. All employees will have the power to do what it takes to ensure customer satisfaction and make any negative situation into a positive. PowerSurge also plans to expand its more than two hundred add-on services and offerings. The company will integrate new account packages that bundle features never before offered on a PowerSurge shared or dedicated hosting account. Additional application and commerce hosting solutions will continue to be rolled out over time.

Renovations of PowerSurge’s corporate offices are currently in the works. The previous setup of aging rows and hard wall cubicles is being replaced with an open working space. New walls and offices in a modern style are currently in the works. The design includes black interior walls and over twenty custom murals by graffiti artist Paco Rosic, who is currently exhibiting his work at the esteemed Montserrat Gallery in New York City, NY. The 8000+ square foot building will showcase a truly amazing representation of what PowerSurge is all about. A virtual tour will be available online as soon as work is completed.

A new website is currently in the works. PowerSurge was once represented with an industry-leading site. The new PowerSurge.Net will certainly revive and continue that tradition.
