I'm reading a lot about Content Delivery Networks lately.
I'd like to get feedback from anyone involved in the hosting industry with regard to how they see this service evolving. In particular do they feel threatened by the new business models such as Akamai, Madge and Digital Island, or are they actively partnering with these providers.

Business2.0 ran a detailed article on CDN's this month. In the article they claimed that the larger hosts (Exodus, AT&T and Verio) had moved over to provide content delivery over 18 months ago!
Its "claimed" that the CDN market will be worth over $6Billion by the year 2004.
