how would i go about promoting my web page? I need new members, it just started and we only have 8 ppl joined up...

I would suggest submitting your web site to google, yahoo and most major search engines. If you your hosting company has cpanel then can submit from there. Also you may want use some kind of banner exchange. This is were people can see your banner on other sites but you must have there banner on your site. It does generate allot of traffic if you use the right people.

another good way is to join a Webring for sites that share a similiar theme to yours. That brings in hits and most usually the kind of people ur wanting to view your site - which is always good.

I would just suggest to submit where ever you possibly can.
Also your web hoster (NOT just a host that provides cpanel!) may very well offer the feature to submit through the control panel.
I always advise for clients to do it manually though.

There's always the local arena. See if your friends can help pump up your business with recommendations. As word spreads, your primary audience will expand outside the local arena.
