I've been contacting various company's with the following email. If anyone can give me any information, it would be appreciated.

To Whom It May Concern:

Hello, My name is Lesley Hart and I have some questions about your company. I work for Loom Technologies, and I am requesting this information for one of our clients. They are interested in having their web page and email hosted by your company. However, the email has to be set up in the following way:

All emails will be sent to a single employee of the company. That employee will read all the emails and decide which department they go to. That employee must be able to DRAG and DROP the emails into other mailboxes. They do not want at all to deal with forwarding mail. When the employee drags and drops the emails into the other mailboxes, we want those to be set up to look like "Folders" when actually they are Inbox's of other mail addresses.

Also, when the employee does not know which Inbox to drop the mail in, they will drop it into the "administrator's" email inbox. The Administrator must then be able to drag and drop those emails into any Inbox they see fit.

The rest of the company's employees that receive the mail do not need this Drag and Drop feature. However if it must be set up that way, it is acceptable. We prefer the email accounts be connected all the time. In other words,

like Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express, rather than a Web based email like Hotmail or Yahoo where you have to log in.

I have come to the understanding that this used to be referred to as a "Mail Room."

Any information you could provide would be helpful. Please email me.

Thank you,

Lesley Hart

Sounds like Microsoft Exchange Server could solve your problem. Although very powerful with a ton of features, the easiest way to explain it is that its Outlook in multi-user form. Here is some information from Microsoft:

http://www.microsoft.com/exchange

There are companies that provide this as a monthly service and will host Exchange for you (like web hosting or other email). Here are a few I am aware of:

Intermedia.net
Mi8.com
eSERVER.com
USA.net

Good luck
