Im building my first (adult) website and ive been trying to find a good hosting firm that has good support and good connectionspeed. Ive been looking at kikko since they seems to have a very good deal. Their rating on this board is good, but on other websites i was told to stay away from this compagny. Does anyone have experiances with kikko.com virtual acounts?

If you take a look at the bandwidth and compare it to the cost, its nearly impossible, bandwidth prices generally come from around, $1.50 - $4.50 or even more.

I just jumped ship from Kikko, who, IMHO, have some of the worst CS anywhere. an average of one reply to 10 emails sent, plus mucho down time on their Unix boxes (Win2k appear to be stable). On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being best, I would rate the company a "2."

My DNS was "accidentally" swapped with another site on their servers, and passwords haven't worked all the time...Usually takes a couple of days to get them to acknowledge and email before they get to fixing anything.

The company I left for is Livewire Media (www.livewire-isp.com)...They don't offer the world, and their packages don't glisten above any other, but their customer support is the bomb. No hiding behind a caller-runaround system - they'll usually pick up on the first ring. I recommend you have a look.

Marc, I totally agree with your assessment. Kikko has one of the worst support I've ever encountered. Only topped by CI Host, because I don't think I ever got through to CI Host. I would stay away from them if you need any support whatsoever. My 3 month contract is almost up and they still haven't even finished setting up my site. If you don't need support and alot of customizations, like I did it's possible you might be able to get by with them. But beware, they might go down for 5 days with no warning and no replies to emails, which happened to me 2 weeks ago.

Funny you should mention CI (do you mean CWI?), as I was on CWI servers last year - what a crock. They messed my traffic good, and seemed to be down more than up.

I hope you can scramble away intact to a host that will treat you right.

I use them for my media at http://www.undergrounds.com. been with them about 6 months with no problems. Its not a porn site but it is a celebrity site with lots of images.

They give me really good rates on bandwidth.
