Do any of you use Datapeer for web hosting? I do (did) and hear that they are going bankrupt! My web site has lost all of its ecommerce functions. Can anybody provide any information here? Thank You!

They did go out of business. If you have anything with them, chances are it is already lost. I believe they sent out notices but it didn't get to all clients.

They offically closed their doors. I would look for a new host if you want to continue your ecommerce business.

Dear Customer,

It is with much regret that we are compelled to inform you that due to economic conditions and massed unrecoverable debt, DataPeer has elected to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

This decision, in effect, will cease all operations and services to our clients. This notification immediately follows the decision to file for Chapter 7 protection, so as to allow you the maximum time to make alternate arrangements.

As such, we encourage you to immediately remove all of your property (hardware and other equipment) located in our facility. Once DataPeer files for Chapter 7 protection, which may be as early as the next several days, you will have to deal with the appointed Chapter 7 Trustee and the landlord to obtain your property, which may result in substantial delay and/or additional cost.

Hardware can be picked up at our offices:
2115 Linwood Avenue Fl. 5
Fort Lee, NJ 07024

In order to schedule the picking up of your property, please leave a message at 1-201-228-1004. Your call will be returned. At this time our ability to answer questions regarding this process is severely limited.

It has been our great pleasure in serving you over these past three years, and it is with deep regret that we can no longer continue to do so. We do encourage you to act quickly in order to avoid delays as a result of the bankruptcy process.

Sincerely,

The DataPeer team."
