I think we've lost our way a bit over the last few days. How about a nice clean start, setting up all the objectives and timescales against volunteers.

Good idea, kinda died down in here, but guess you also to consider some have to understand some do have companies to run...

I agree all of us are busy with our own lives. Thats why I think the roles need agreeing before we can set any deadlines. That way we can set the realistic goals.

I had put together a proposed time line for the planning committee in a prior thread, there's been no further comment since, here is the brief version of it:

6/15/01 closing date for joining the planning committee.

7/01/01 close the names discussion thread and use a poll to vote on the name.

7/7/01 close the poll and finalize the name.

7/14/01 close the initial executive board composition and membership requirements thread, call for nominations/volunteers for executive board seats

7/21/01 close the nominations and set up polls for any contested seats

7/28/01 close the polls, tidy up everything and

8/1/01 hand the whole mess off to the executive board

Which gives us until 8/1/01 to get the by-laws written (which is what each of the varying threads will be a chapter in).

I'm committed to the timeline. Let's take the first milestone on. If there is anyone who you think should be invited to join then drop them a line. James can post up a final list on the 15th June and close off the members list.
