The code for the forum here is vBulletin.
vB is an excellent forum script, and so does cost a lot to buy the code and install it (check www.vbulletin.com ) for prices.

If you are looking for a free forum code then there is a lot to chose from, what kind of codes does your webhost accept? (PHP, ASP e.t.c - You will need DB Support, most likely MySQL)

I use phpBB on my website, which is avavible to download from www.phpbb.com
But you might wanna check out some other scripts you can use, although I would reccomend phpBB.

There is a huge database of foums over at www.hotscripts.com just look for php bulliten systems or something like that!

Vbulletin isn't all that expensive (you make it sound like it costs thousands ). Very good system. Easy to customize and support.

I wouldnt pay that much for it.
Although i've seen the Admin CP and I do agree with your comments on the easyness of it.
But any forum is, once you know how to! :P

Porn - Depending what you're site is about $300 (appox) isn't a lot. It's a business expense. The cost of doing business.
