Ok I want to start hosting sites but i dont wanna go through all other stuff since im new to all this but i know some things and I'm only trying to do a simple celebrity hosting for different celebrity sites. This is how i wanna do it. I wanna have a hosting account and give other sites a subdomain and have them put a pop up on the main page so i make some money. But what would be a good place that gives alot of space and bandwith and unlimited or aroung 150 subdomains. I'm only trying to spend 100 dollars a month so can you please tell me a good host??

why don't you get a dedicated server? you can usually have as many subdomains as you want, and alot of companies will even do managed services if you don't know how to manage the server.

Server management would cost $300+/month and the server itself (for a good server with good bandwidth) at least $200+/month... a little beyond his budget, but for running a web host a good idea.

I expect that your best bet is to find a host willing to take care of you specifically. If you bind to a contract for 12 months @ $100/month they will probably do all the technical work for you to get your special needs setup, without a contract you're probably looking at a setup fee in the range of 4-5 hours for automating the popup system and subdomain system as well as developing some means for you to add/remove subdomains. 4-5 hours assumes good programmers/sys admins, which run between $50-$100/hour (or more.)

Even if its just you and a friend running the server, selling hosting for cash is commercial and spam is not allowed in these forums. Also, upon reading the other posts in this thread, you can see that rob2k4life didn't post his request in the requests forum. From that we can deduce that he is not interested in getting 'bids' or anything thing of the type, and was just seeking advice.

hey i now a place named www.coolfreepages.com that its free 50 megs of space i dont remember bandwith but it has php and my sql free with out ads and subdomain but i dont know how many sub domains you can have
