Hi there,
I've become unsatisfied with my current host, and am looking to make a switch. But I'd like to look before I leap this time, and any recommendations from experienced users would be a great help. Here's what I'm looking for in a host:

REQUIRED:
JSP engine
MySQL database - preferably configurable via personal control panel
Control Panel
Statistics
Parking Domains
personal CGI-bin folder
up time guarantee
24/7 support
shared SSL

PREFERRED, but not required:
Reseller option
customizable resold control panels
no fee for installing personal secure cert.
virtual name servers

All, of course, for a low low price and with fantastic support.

I realize it's a holy grail, but I keep hoping it's out there. Of primary importance is the quality and speed of the support staff - I hate feeling like a cog (and a resented one at that).

Anybody out there have a host with these options that they're happy with?

Thanks,
Daniel Olmstead

Good JSP Hosting can be found at VPS Hostings Site. VPS hosting provides the Solaris Virtual Server system at a significantly reduced rate from the competition and because it is Solaris OS, JSP/Tomcat are available.

MySQL is also available as well as all the other features you need, except a web control for the MySQL database. The reason for no control is to allow you, the adminsitrator, full flexibility on how the database will be used, or how many databases, etc.

Remember a virtual server environment is customizable to your liking.

So, check it out:
Solaris Standard Unix for $99/Mo

Sis,

Does this hosting company offer JSP? I didn't see it offered on their website.
