I'm not sure if this is in the right forum or not because I dont know what it could be classed under or if you answer questions about free web hosts.

I'm looking to start up my own message board but on a free host. I'm looking for a webhost that allows the most data transfer per month. e.g places like Netfirms are 1gb Data Transfer per month.
Is there any better than this which has more data transfer and more importantly, which is free and allows the use of a cgi-bin or php.

I'm a bit unsure on some of the stuff so if someone could help me out and clear this up, I would be very grateful.

ok im sorry but i also need help. i am trying to open a free message board to link to my web page. does anyone know who to go through or how to go about doing this?

This can be directed to both, since you are looking for free boards, providers, etc.

There are several options too if you just want to link to a free board (bravenet, ezboard)
