Resellers accounts come in different flavours. (Host set number of domains, unlimited domains, web space, bandwidth...etc. Simply decide which one suits your needs best)

Yes, resellers do make money. How much money depends on your services and market.

Reselling comes in a number of forms such as:

- You get a dedicated machine are are allocated some space from a host and you create whatever size accounts with whatever features you want and charge whatever you want.

- You sign-up with a host to resell their plans. You buy the plans dirt-cheap and mark them up as you wish.

- You sign-up as a sales agent for the host, sell their plans as they are and get a residual commission per sale.


Each way has it's pros and cons. All depends on how much time and resources you have/want to put to the effort. Same with making money - it's a function of the time and effort you put in.

trying to make millions as a reseller is like trying to email bill gates for a donation to your negative-balance checking account! but we resellers not only enjoy what we do, but if you have a good name and enough people know about you, you may generate considerable personal income after some time.

since you're new to the game, i'd say that bizland.com/reseller is a good start for you. i have not yet used the services of bizland, however, i believe their reseller program is very young, with a nice console. check it out and let me know what happens!

By program not 100% sure of your intentions.....
For control panels or software, most people use Plesk or Ensim
If you are talking about style, most people use virtual server accounts until they get enough customers to pay for a dedicated server.

I will not answer this question since I offer reseller accounts.
The only advice I can give is check into the background of any company by checking the many hosting forum sites on the internet.

There is plenty of money to be made, as long as you provide a good service.

It is just as possible to make a lot of money as a reseller as it is to own and manage the server. You just have to find the right price. It's going to be real hard making money just marking up someones hosting packages. Best place to look would be for a host offering multiple domain hosting for one price.
