I found everyday internet solutions through a search and they have a great starter reseller plan for $34.95. Can someone check this out and let me know what you think or if you have used them in the past?

The url I used was http://eishost.com

Thanks

Hi there,

Just for educational purposes, it looks like this company resells for http://vortechhosting.com/ and http://www.matrixreseller.com/. This is not a bad thing, if they provide great service, etc... then why not. We as a company resell to. For some, it allows a company to focus on service without having to focus on the hardware and maintenance. But as someone looking for a partner you should check out the backbone to see how the "rate". Also, there is a thread in another part of the forums that is a excellent basis of inquire for anyone looking to partner with a new company (http://forums.webhostdir.com/showth...=8167#post11713)

Lastly, the domain name was first registered Feb 2002. Again, we all started new and there is nothing wrong with this as long as you are aware of it.

Ask questions, test the support and see how fast and responsive they are. In the end, that is all that matters and REALLY what you are paying for.

Thanks Beachcomber!

I did ask them and they actually colocate their servers there. Vortech also runs rapidcolo.com. They currently have 3 servers there and are installing 3 more next week. They do buy their h sphere licenses through rapdicolo.com since they are a partner of h sphere.

They also have servers running another control panel called ensim at a data center in PA.

They also use everydayinternetsolutions.com (which appears to be older) and just recently registered eishost.com since the other is pretty long to type

Again, thanks for the tips!

I don't know if you can fault a company for reselling. They might resell and be wonderful or they could own the datacentre and be terrible.

As for a newly registered domain name... I wouldn't use that against them. Our company for example resold domains for a long time, but when we moved on to our own servers we had to register the server domain, so that domain would be newer than our main company domain.

Just food for thought.

Actually, that was my point. Customer service is the key since we all offer the same basic products (Even if we have different prices and business models)

Also my point and he did the right thing...Investigated the company and got some answers. Even if the answer was they were a week old, as long as you are aware of the pitfalls (and potential advantages of being one of a company's FIRST customers) its best to know what's ahead. One could assume that if the company is new their may be support issues that even with the best effort they have never seen before that more experienced resellers would be aware of and know how to solve. By the same token, if you are starting up and struggling to make it work you "should" be more likely to really try to support your customers to build a good reputation. One hopes...

In the end, there is no perfect host, just one that fits your budget, needs and level of expertise.
They do Colo with us and Matt is a great guy.. Can't say any thing bad about them...
