Hello,

I am presently looking for a web host that gives around 100 mb of space, good customer service, unlimited bandwidth, really good servers and a reasonable price. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Welcome to the forums
Its wise to not choose a host that offers unlimited bandwidth...since it doesnt exist! You are better off choosing a host that states their limits up front. have a look in our offers forum...alot of hosts post their specials in there

and you may find something.
You can also try a search based on your requirements

Definetly, the biggest piece of advice is to check where they get there bandwidth from. Notorious companies such as Cogent are known for their cheap yet unreliable bandwidth. If you have an e-commerce site, or otherwise intensive site, have low quality bandwidth could ruin your site's reputation.

Personally, I use UUNet and AT&T together.

foreverjason, most sites don't even use 500 megabytes of transfer a month and very very very few go over 1 gigabyte unless they are offering some downloads (warez) or are adult related.

Most hosts will offer you over 1 gig of transfer anyway and if you're site has that much traffic, you should be making enough money to pay for more transfer

Good point.

NTL, bandwidth is one of those things people seem to harp on even though it rarely ever actually becomes an issue.

How much data transfer do you think you'll need? Type of site etc?

It's probably easier to recommend a host if we get a better idea of your needs.

you can use this small tool to get a general idea of bandwidth and disk space requirements. I have used it on occasion. But as noted above bandwidth usually is not a large issue as thought.
