believe it or not, my site has been down since tuesday, 29 jan. It is (was?) hosted with Cyber Titan (
www.cybertitan.com). Their site was not reachable for a couple of days, then suddenly started redirecting to lightspeedhost.com. I've sent them 3 emails and posted messages on several web hosting forums and get no reply. Very frustrating! Lowsy customer service!
Anyone out there from CyberTitan? Anyone else having the same problem?

Hi.
I've got two domain names with Cybertian/Lightspeed, or whatever they're calling themselves these days, and have had the same problem.
No service since last Tuesday, no email, nothing.
Also left lots of voicemessages and emails and have gotten no response. You can't even leave voicemessages anymore. There's no more room on their machine. What happened? Did they get blown up? I mean if you're going to shut down on Tuesday, don't you know this on Monday?
Is there anything we can do? Better Business Bureau?
What about my missing emails? I've tested by sending myself an email and it doesn't bounce back, so people are just sending away wondering why I haven't responded.
Pls let me know if you find anything out? bribatoo@aol.com is the sucky email account I have to use now.

So I just got an email from a Cybertitan person.
They are moving everything to a new server (didn't say if this was planned or as a result of an emergency) and hope to be back up soon, but gave no ETA.
They have had an onslought of calls and messages, so this is why they have been unable to respond.
So I guess they're still around, but I have to say that I'm unimpressed with their emergency recovery/customer notification plan.
Ah well, what do you expect for $10 a month.

I just got an email, too. It said their server was down and they were migrating everyone to the new server. They asked me to send my account info: hosting package, domain, etc. Shouldn't they already have that?
I've been moving all my sites over to HostingMatters.com. They have been great so far and it's only $6/mo. The best thing is that you can pay by the month. It is actually my husband's site that is on cybertitan and he just renewed for a year. Ouch.
good luck

I hate to say it, but I've had the same experience with them over the past few weeks... I have 2 sites (one belonging to a client) hosted with them and am NOT happy.
They supposedly moved my account to a new and more stable server after some of my initial complaints, however, now that one has gone missing as well. In fact, their entire corporate site is gone off the web.
I'm moving my stuff to a company called webpipe.net that I've dealt with before. Nothing fancy, but they're been reliable and they offer a lot of bang-for-the-buck.
As for the Cybertitan fiasco, I've already filed a complaint with the San Diego BBB and would encourage some of the others who've gotten burned to do the same.
maybe we'll at least get some of our data and money back

Same thing going on here. They gave me the same story about a week ago, but now the entire site is gone. I just tried calling but the phone does not even ring. I got the number from my payment receipt that I received from them today. So that part still works (imagine that).
I was happy with them the entire time I have been with them (1 1/2 years). Now I fear they may have sold to another company and that other company is closing its doors. I hope not; but I will move my site. I guess I'll have to notify my credit card co. to not make any more payments to them. I wonder how long they will contine to bill people.
Anyone have recommendations on another hosting site. I will sure miss cybertitan, they were fast, friendly and always up.

I'm looking at them and another one that was suggested in this thread. Thanks.

Hello Everyone,
Basically there are no technical issues. Cybertitan did not pay their bills and had their server leases snatched. Meanwhile they have charged myself hundreds of dollars for services I have not received. I managed to get through and Chris told me that it will be refunded. That was weeks ago. Nothing happened. I guess we all need to get together and have criminal charges brought against these guys for fraud. They knowingly charged us knowing that they cannot provide the service. This is a criminal offense and not just a civil one. I go to San Diego every other week or so, If anyone here wants to hook up with me, or if one of you live in San Diego we can give more details for the complaint and police report. The San Diego cops will have no choice but to investigate if we launch a complaint. The bottom line is that these guys are up to no good and have betrayed our trust. Furthermore they are currently engaged in wire fraud. maybe even the feds may take an interest in these guys.
All I know is that I have no more interest in any of their lies. I can't stand being ripped off or lied to.
Also none of your sites were erased or lost. It's just that Cybertitan did not pay their bill and they no longer have access to the server that your sites are on. I know because I was able to retrieve dozens of sites by doing a little investigation and getting some help from some decent folks.
Send me your phone numbers/contact details if any of you are interested in seeking justice.

Hello Everyone,
Thanks for all of your emails concerning this matter. It looks like Cybertitan has told everyone a different story. Please forward me any corespondence that you may have had with them so I can show the investigating officer the large variety of conflicting cover stories they used to shield their credit card fraud scam. They have written about supposed "fires" and "server meltdowns" to cover their scam. It is looking pretty good thus far. Also include your contact details so the authorities can make a quick assessment after talking to a number of us.
I'm sending out a complaint to the San Diego Police and the FBI, as well as the California Attorney General. I'll be making a hand delivery to the FBI and San Diego Police. I'm going to send the package to the CAG via registered mail. I've already spoke with a field agent and he said that if the information I provide turns out to be "substantiated" (I know it will), the issueing of arrest warrants will occur rather quickly. I'm in the process right now of collecting information on the ownership of Cybertitan so they will know who to arrest.
Just to let you guys know, I am not going to back down from this, so any information you can provide will be most helpful to us all.
Best Of,
Don Steitz,
