You have to add yourdomain/website manually to indexed by google and yahoo search engines. Search net with words 'add ggogle' and 'add yahoo', you will get the link. These services are free.

Try and get some links to your web site. Don't attempt anything too big and unrealistic and you will probably have to offer a link back to their site too. Try to get listed in directories as well.

Whatever you do, make sure the sites that link to you, or you trade links with, are relevant to the subject of your site, if you want to get a good pagerank.

Get listed in Yahoo: http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html
Get listed in Google: http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

Hope I've helped

Yes thoughs links provided above should get the job done in adding, and can take a while.

But you can always see your site clicks at googlefight.com for a fighting measurement of traffic with another address.

The stats is counted on how many clicks you get by googles counter, registered or not.

you will need to do a bit of basic SEO (search engine optimization). the above links will definitely help make a start.

I suggest starting out using a free service such as http://www.addme.com/. I have personally used them in the past and have had much success.

Hope this helps

You can also try searching your site in Google, i.e

your site = yahoo.com

so you would type something like this into the google search bar...

insert_random_word_here site:yahoo.com

So, if you were to try that, basically put a word that is on a lot of your pages, like 'yahoo' for Yahoo, then put 'site:' then your site url.

Google will then scan your site...

Worked for me

I have used the methods that were mentioned previously; sharing some links works good but make sure your site is optimized and validates correctly. We have noticed more activity with the spiders/robots since we did that.

All of the above is good. But take the time to do some homework. Once you get indexed by Google, there is still a lot of work to do. Indexed is one thing, ranking in search results is another.

A lot of the above deals with that. It takes time. Also keep in mind that Google holds back sites for the first 6 to 8 months. Fondly referred to as the sandbox.

So start researching SEO and laying the foundation. Directories will give you an easy list to submit to with out needing backlinks. Try to exchange links with other sites that are similar to yours. Better relevancy.

Takes some work, but once you get going, not so bad.
