I've been making the web hosting review rounds to let the public know that Hostdepartment.com is a pack of thieves. This hosting company is a fake. I have bought a hosting plan with them in November and I never received the necessary information to put up my site.
Slow server, poor performance, poor live chat even they don’t want to refund my funds ($549.45). If anyone wants to file against them, contact the Better Business Bureau at BBB.org or contact me to get their information.
These guys are really REALLY bad. Also, I've found the EXACT same positive reviews about them posted on SEVERAL sites by the same people & the same day. I am convinced these reviews are fake and posted by Hostdepartment staff to lure in customers. Stay away from Hostdepartment.com! I was attracted by the low prices and this was indeed a big mistake.

It' a pity to hear about yopur bad experience, but what domain name have you hosted with them?

Sorry to hear your experience with the hostdepartment. What about their contact number. What domain you have hosted with them. Have you contacted them through phone? Try out that. You might have a chance to get them through the phone. Let us know here about this.

I tend to agree with it. Hostdepartment does not have concept of technical support. I happen to have some support issues replied after 15 days with a very simple answer. Generally they are surving on good marketing and low cost. They do not have good technical staff to back it up all.

I'd like to keep a more general perspective on subjects like this, but i do have a question. What was their reason for not refunding your money? That is a lot of money, so I am wondering why they would not return it..even less the setup fee would have been ok. did you pay with Credit card? You can do a chargeback if all else fails, but I would not recommend it unless it is your absolute last option to get your money back.

I have bought a Reseller hosting plan with Hostdepartment LLC in November and you know wot it was on top 3 shared unix and windows (webhostdir.com) because of $$ spend on Ads. Anyways I have 3 domains but the main domain is ITICONS.com, I have tried many times to contact with them, and file a complaint thru HostingAssured.com

Mu sggestion is: move your files to other hoster asap.

Hmmmmmmmm $500 ...??? thats alot but how come u paid such a huge ammount..? is it a dedicated server that you got ...? or is that you ve been paying them for sometime

I've seen a lot of similiar reviews about them and yes, the positive reviews & top ten lists are paid advertising. I do have a question though, you stated:

How do you know the server is slow and poor performance if they never sent you the necessary information to put your site(s) up? How long have you been with them? Waiting since November?
Best of luck anyway, it's to bad, a lot of people have had bad experiences with them. Always make sure you do plenty of research before choosing a host.
