Hi guys,

I am just wondering...I am new here and would like to ask when is a good time or critical point where an office would benefit you. Meaning not home based anymore, although many of us have homebased offices. Also would you rent/lease or buy?

I've been working from home for the past 3 years and I have often wondering what the breaking point would be for me too. It's hard being at home all the time and having phone conferences and emails being the only social interaction during the work day. I've always said that once I made enough money and/or it becomes to hard to fully focus on my work I'd rent a small office. Best of luck to you.

ask u 1 simple question, is your business need meeting customer face to face or other business? if yes, then go for office. else stay at home

I'm second to say what has been told in the post above.
What part of your income are you going to pay for the office rent?
What are conditions at home?
Do you have to see clients f2f?
There are some questions you should ask yourself.

really if you have enough money to invest, its good to buy office, its your real estate investment and the price for real estate will certainly take a jump, so it is unlikely that you will loose anything

If you are offering just shared/reseller hosting and such, you may never need an office. If youa are offering dedis, you will sooner. You need to be able to store equip as well as being able to get to your DC quickly, or rending space in your DC.
