Hello all!

I got myself a reseller hosting account and started providing hosting services to local clients about 6 months ago. Things were going well at first. Server is always up, its fast and clients are happy.

However, it has become more and more apparent that there is one problem with the service that I provide - and that is the mail issue! Since the hosting is on a shared server, there were already a bunch of spammers on the server and I just realised that the server is on nearly all the mailing blacklists!

STEP 1 - I have requested my account be moved to a new server - which is being done. However, this is only a short term solution to the mail problem. I am sure that my hosting provider will soon introduce spammer to this new server (unintentionally of course).

Step 2 - I want to be able to provide a better mailing environment for my important clients.

I have considered the following options:
A. Acquire a dedicated server for my clients
Unfortunately this is not an affordable options at the moment as the websites require powerful servers for audio/video streaming

B. Acquire a dedicated server for mail purposes
Please assist me in getting this done. Should I get a dedicated server for $69 and then use this for mail purposes! Will this work and resolve my issues or am I barking up the wrong tree?

You can go with bulk email accounts because you do have problem with email accounts.
As you said its costly of going with dedicated servers for the single problem which can be solved easily. So try out of going with bulk email accounts with the host providers.
I think it might be helpful to come out of the problem.

As far as I understand you are looking for help in setting up mail service. Or what? Clear up please.

I may be misunderstanding the issue, but it sounds as though you are using shared hosting even though you are a reseller?

A better idea would be to move to a VPS (Virtual private Server). Less expensive than a dedicated, and you have your own IP address, that only your own clients have access to. It shouldn't be on anyone's blacklist, and won't end up there unless one of your own clients misuses the service. The VPS might help and be more affordable than the dedicated for mail only.
