Hi guys,

I would like to see what do you thing about the standardization in web hositng business. Do you find reasonable for example linux web hosting companies to use one and the same server manaement products and services such as cPanel, Ensim and etc?

And waht do you think about those web hosting companies that develop their own in-house hosting software?

As far as standardization is concerned, every highly reputed company who are in this business for at least two years, have enough experience in this field, they will try all means to keep the standards high in all aspects and eventually increase every single time.

Ideas can play a very vital role in this busines, with this i think i can quote this,
"get updated or be outdated".

With this theme, we march forward like soldiers on ground.

cheers to all.

"get updated or be outdated".
It's a good quote and really up-to-day. I think any hosting company has to improve its sortware as well as hardware. Otherwise it'll be out of this business.

Totally agree to the T! You need to be at the top of your game. Customers look for new and improved ways. Especially if you keep it simple, but powerful. If you can offer better technology, services, products in a way that will blow away your competition, where do you think your prospects will go?

Control panel is always a user's preference. I personally tried plesk before, but I like Cpanel better in term of user friendliness, easy to use and features. Cpanel also has tons of addons that you can add to give your users more user friendly options to utilize in their websites.

I would go with what most people prefer to use. Building in-house control panel is not discouraged, but you probably spending more money and time to build one though.

My only two cents

As long as the aim of these webhosting companies is to add value to their clients, improvements to current standards are OK. This means that well known brands such as Cpanel should be exceeded in terms of product quality. If they can create a software that is much better than Cpanel, then the hosting community will support it.

We should salute all those who innovate towards making other people's live easier!

There isn't a one size standard for all. some companies like to do just about enough to keep things together, others like to exceed expectations.. I find that 2nd group more profitable though and much more popular in the market
