well its not unrefundable. if it was a large transaction than i would have taken them to task,
but its not worth it to fuss about 34 dollars.. i just came here to tell people about such scammers

just that this is the third co. whom i sent money to and they took it
the other two did not even have the audacity to reply back to me

amian, why didn't you address to more reliable and well-known companies. I consider you'll pay more than 34$ but not for nothing. A greedy one pays twice.

All we did is ask the guy to confirm his contact information as his account details included a phone number which was wrong and the address was obviously made up also. Not to mention he used a yahoo email address.

We sent him the following email as a result of the fraudulent signup attempt....

"Your web hosting package has not been activated as you have not provided your correct contact information.

At TroubleFreeHosting.com we value highly our network and are very careful what we allow on our network. Particularly, we want to avoid spammers, fraudsters and "phisherman" as they can cause our upstream providers to either penalize or disconnect our services.

If the reason you provided incorrect contact information was to make your domain name contact information private within a whois domain search, you may wish to use our domain name privacy protection service. See the following page for more info: (url removed)

As a result of you providing incorrect contact information, your account has triggered our fraud alert and we will now require from you a certified copy of either your passport, drivers license or national identity card together with a copy of a local utility bill such as gas, power, telephone or rental receipt in order to verify your contact information.

Until that information has been provided, your account has been frozen and all funds have been frozen with it.

Please update your contact details in our billing system with your correct contact details and fax the copies of the information requested to +61733379898.

We will then verify those details and ensure you account is activated promptly soon after.

Thanks

Now amian, i would never advise you to make your transactions thorugh e-gold because first of all not all relaible and genuine companies accept it or it is not a safe method either as in your case.

Now i believe its high time to change your transaction actions, and the best mode of payment would be paypal, credit card or through 2co.

But at the same time, take these frauds for a task. Because of their drastic activity will affect the genuinity of a reliable cpmpany.

I see no point in keeping this thread open. The OP has an identical thread at webhostingtalk.com about this issue. Closed.
