Hey Guys/Gals,

I'm just wondering, how are the other hosting companies doing this month? Are you sales down, up, average, or what is this month? The numbers say it is pretty good so far, but man, it sure feels like the Internet is just dead, support is slow, not getting very many sales questions, just people ordering straight, no questions before hand, etc..

September slowed down for us (for obvious reasons I suppose with the state of the world in general), but it's back up again. Interesting you should mention the lack of pre-sales chatter though as now you mention it...

I'd just put it down to people that had enquired previously and were just now signing up, but as signups seem to be outstripping enquiries a bit at the moment it would seem to validate your assumption

Maybe it's just word of mouth? Often we get a signup with no pre-sales and find out later they were refered by an existing client..

With most of our clients we offer rewards for referrals, be it cash or discounts etc...

We find that it helps us gain new business with a minimal amount of effort.

Keep in mind with all the people getting layed off and other concerned they are next it's probably putting a chill on server orders.
