My name is David Hamer from Css Web Design & Hosting UK.
I took over a web design and hosting business from a friend of ours last year. We currently host over 110 clients on our servers, though we're looking to purchase a extended client base. We can currently suuport both windows and linux platforms.
We would ideally like around another 50/100 web clients and are willing to pay a reasonable price for them. The majority of our clients pay us monthly via credit/debit card, so this is what we'd require for any further web clients.
If you know of anyone who would be willing to offer us a portion of their client base, we'd be very interested in contacting them.

Your going to have trouble buying just a small amount of somebodies clients. You may be better off looking for a company that is going out of business.
A lot of people will leave if they hear their being moved to a new hosting provider.

You may want to work out a deal with some reseller that has the 50-100 accounts you are looking for. Good luck.

I would look at getting clients from a hosting reseller and also from other web hosting companies that are up for sale. Other than that continued advertising is probably your only solution.
