so don't be suprised if you get it too. By the time I got to spamcop there had been 6 reports of them already. Oddly enough they are in direct violation of their *own* anti-spam policy, and reading through it, they managed to break every rule they set

I reloaded their page only to see my name mentioned under a 'testimonial' about their services. Needless to say I'd never heard of these guys much less used them...

Yes, I got the same email, and then I went to spamcop and submitted them (i'm one of the six), and then I looked at their anti-spam policy and thought they were swine too......but then I noticed a link at the top of the policy page entitled:

"Please read this notice about a email that went out to some people!"


And on that page ( http://www.immenet.com/notice.htm ) it says:

"On April 12th, 2001, a company that we paid to send mail out via US POSTAL SERVICE, sent out a email for Imme Networks by mistake. This was not supposed to happen, although those prices in this email are valid and true, we do not condone spam of this sort and will not use this company again for this reason. Please accept our apologies on this situation.

Imme Networks has a strict policy on Spam and does not tolerate it. Therefore, we would never send Spam ourselves to other companies or individuals. We do like to advertise as any company does, and usually do this via Postal Mail, and we would never intentionally do this via email.

We thank you for your consideration in this, and once again apologize for any inconveniences that this may have caused
