We have a server dedicated to hosting for developers. The server will be used primarily for Java/JSP/Servlet hosting and development, but will contain many other tools for all types of development abilities.

The server is running Slackware 8.0 Linux for stability and reliability. Because of the nature of JVMs (Java Virtual Machines), we can only fit a set number of people on the server. This benefits developers in knowing that they won't be developing on a server that is sharing its resources to hundreds of other users.

For you Java Heads out there, the server supports the following:

- Tomcat 3.2.3
- Tomcat 4.0 Beta
- Sun JDK 1.3.1
- Sun JDK 1.4.0 Beta 2
- IBM JSDK 1.3
- IBM Jikes 1.13
- Shared and Private JVMs
- EJB via JBoss 2.4.0
- MySQL JDBC support

For the other developers out there, the server supports the following:

- C and C++ Compilers
- Crontab Support
- Perl 5.005 (soon to be upgraded)
- PHP 4.0.6 with Zend Optimizer and popular options enabled
- MySQL 3.23.39 with phpMyAdmin 2.2.0
- SSI
- Python 2.1.1
- The amazing Zope 2.4.1 Coming Soon!
- New software added regularly!
