I am just about to start hosting with JJTEK-Hosting.com. I have looked at the packages and find them great valure. Has anyone else heard of them or used them in the past?

I have never heard of them, but I would be very careful to go with anyone who offers unlimited webspace and data transfer. In reality, there's no such thing as unlimited storage/transfer. Probably their T&C include some clauses that limits your bandwidth/storage capacity in some way.

I'm not saying they are bad, just be careful!

I have not heard of them, but I would do a search on the companies name via Google, you should be able to gauge a pretty good idea at how popular they are and how their services really are.

Agree 100% with the previous post. To keep the server running reliable, web hosting co. should have a limitation on bandwidth usage unless if you own a dedi server.

Normally there are more than 300 clients in the shared server. Imagine if each uses unlimited bandwith.

Here's a little info on jjtek thats freely available on the internet via www.dnsstuff.com

JJTEK-Hosting.com are resellers of heartinternet.co.uk, this is why they are offering unlimited disk space and bandwidth because heart offer this to all there resellers for £30 a month.

This can be confirmed by simply doing a ping to their website then an IP whois lookup and you will see that heartinternet own the IP address.

All of the above is simply fact and information freely available.

Heartinternet have had numerous problems ever since they first started. and have their own custom control panel which makes moving to them or away from them very difficult.

The other websites of JJTEK are hosted by 1and1 internet (again this info is freely available)

In order to get a better idea of what service to expect you may want to do a search of all the big forums for both heart internet and 1and1 so you can see the kind of support and service that jjtek have available to them

PS James, if your reading this, dont take this the wrong way as we dont know about your own company and you may indeed be an excellent company but a reseller is only as good as the company they resell for right?

Yep, I am totally agree with you. When any company offers unlimited bandwidth then it is just a marketing technique done to attract customers. Some conditions may apply for unlimited bandwidth.

While selecting any hosting company it is very important to select a reliable company.

I have never heard of this company. Be sure to do a proper background check and make sure everything seems legit....sometimes things could be too good to be true.
