Web Hosting Grew 140% in 2005

GoDaddy.com®, the No. 1 registrar of domain names worldwide and the No. 1 hosting provider in North America, showed the largest organic growth in active sites of any web hosting company in the world during 2005.

According to research firm Netcraft (www.Netcraft.com), GoDaddy.com saw a 140 percent increase in the number of active sites hosted from January 1, 2005, to December 31, 2005. More than 530,000 new active sites were found on the Go Daddy® servers during the year.

Going into 2006, GoDaddy.com’s active sites exceeded 1 million, according to the Netcraft Hosting Analysis. GoDaddy.com attributes much of the growth to the interaction between Go Daddy’s engineering staff and the company’s customers, as well as a 24/7 commitment to serious support.
