ImageGravy.com has announced a new service that could stir up the way webmaster think.

One week ago ImageGravy launched its free image hosting website in beta mode. I know what you are thinking, "Not another image hosting site" but you may want to think twice about this one. According to ImageGravy's CEO Jason Rodriguez, the free image hosting site will be dishing out a percentage of revenue to its user base each month. We all know that social networks or community based websites are doing extremely well but this could be a new step forward for 2006.

So how do you make money and how much can you really make? "Earnings vary each month based off the amount of income ImageGravy generates. Once this number is finalized a percentage of that is distributed throughout ImageGravy members based on how many image views each user has accrued." says Rodriguez. While the website is still in its infancy and some features are limiting, ImageGravy is sparking consumer interest in a new way.

Could this be the next trend? Only time will tell, but if the free image hosting isn't enough, the money should be!
