I hope that windows vista will be as good as XP.

Yeah I hope they fix all the little annoyances, annoyances gotta hate em.

I got this, spent my valuable time installing it, only to find that it's rubbish, at the moment anyway, nothin works, there are no drivers available, and the drivers builf in are for outdated hardware ( not suprising considering the amount of time it's been worked on ) so I promptly threw the DVD in the bin, and will be avoiding it like a plague untill at least the third final version....

Well, I for one will not be switching to Vista. I'm going to be switching to Linux. XP was bloated, but Vista... Wow...

I have been using the Windows Vista beta, until I installed my sound card drivers which caused it to stop working and stop booting.

From the little I did see, it still feels like Windows XP, and it's still no where near as reliable as OS 10, which I use much, much, much, much more than Windows.

I heard that release candidate 1 should be release soon and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I really hope that Microsoft can get this right, XP wasn't a bad launch at all, but Windows ME sure as hell was. Come to think of it, it seems like Microsoft has a history of screwing up every other iteration of the OS, so that doesn't bode well for Vista

what are the differences supposed to be between vista and xp?
