View original thread:  Need some help checking connectivity

I am the Web Coordinator for the College of Law at Georgia State University. We have had several reports from people who cannot connect to our website. I need as many people as possible to take a few minutes and check to see if they can reach the site. I've set up a page on my personal site at http://earldaniels.net/index/dns/ where the results of your checks can be posted.

As an incentive, I am personally giving away two $25 gift certificates from Amazon.com to two randomly-picked respondents (this will save me a LOT more than $50 worth of hassle in finding and proving the problem!!)

If you don't want to use the page above, basically what I need is to know if you can access:
http://law.gsu.edu/home.php
or the same page by IP #:
http://131.96.183.4/home.php

and the copy/paste results from these two checks (run from a DOS prompt):
Code:
nslookup law.gsu.edu

and
Code:
tracert 131.96.183.4

This can be e-mailed to the temporary address:
check@earldaniels.net

Please, no responses after next Wednesday, October 12, 2005. If we haven't figured it out by then, I'll give up!!

Thanks in advance for your help,
Peace,
- Earl

p.s. Please, no critiques of the site... I've only been responsible for it for two weeks!!

Thanks for everyone who helped so far. Although my incentive period has ended and the two certificates sent, I am still interested in cases where folks cannot reach our site ( http://law.gsu.edu/home.php ). I will leave the feedback page up for now for those gracious enough to help.
