I am the Web Coordinator for the College of Law at Georgia State University. We have had several reports from people who cannot connect to our website. I need as many people as possible to take a few minutes and check to see if they can reach the site. I've set up a page on my personal site at
http://earldaniels.net/index/dns/ where the results of your checks can be posted.
As an incentive, I am personally giving away two $25 gift certificates from Amazon.com to two randomly-picked respondents (this will save me a LOT more than $50 worth of hassle in finding and proving the problem!!)
If you don't want to use the page above, basically what I need is to know if you can access:
http://law.gsu.edu/home.php
or the same page by IP #:
http://131.96.183.4/home.php
and the copy/paste results from these two checks (run from a DOS prompt):
Code:
nslookup law.gsu.edu
and
Code:
tracert 131.96.183.4
This can be e-mailed to the temporary address:
check@earldaniels.net
Please, no responses after next Wednesday, October 12, 2005. If we haven't figured it out by then, I'll give up!!
Thanks in advance for your help,
Peace,
- Earl
p.s. Please, no critiques of the site... I've only been responsible for it for two weeks!!
