Track your advertising. This is the most important factor in your advertising campaign. ROI of online advertisment is significantly much higher than the actual sales hence I am more interested to know how to track those untracked sales as no software are that much competent to track the actual ROI.

You'll always have untracked sales. The ROI systems will only provide you with best estimates but that is still useful for making decisions. You can spend a lot of time trying to anaylze the untracked sales but you will need to ask yourself it the amount of time and effot is really worth it.
