After 10 years with the same hosting company (web2010.com) they were sold and recently my first impressions with the new owners isn't anything to cheer about. They managed to cut off access to my site for almost 3 days during a recent migration (which was done without notice to me) and my VBulletin forum may never be the same. Lost users, lost posts...morons.

So I'm casting about looking for someone decent, honest and competent...

The more opinions I hear, the better off I'll be. Thx.

You should first write down your requirements and your budget. Once that is done, search on the forum for different offers.

One great tip, don't go for the "1$ for 10GB of Space" hosts as they won't be around for long. Make sure you get great customer care and service reliability.

Yes, I agree~ Except canaca.com is cheap and they have been out for awhile Anyways, that's a good tip. Most hosts with that are usually on a reseller or rarely a server.

Top Hosting site that you should avoid: Xternal-host.com
I worked with them, and it's 12 year old that deletes your account if he gets mad. There severs are super slow. The connection is only 1.5mbps

And it is kind of obvious that this host has no idea what they are doing.

"20gb free domain" 5$ a month, Once you hit 1 gb the owner usually deletes your account, because he has no idea what he is doing.

Well he shouldn't offer 20gb if he would delete your account if you use even 2 gbs of it.
