you might want to use the ad space of forums like this one to advertise your things... And shared hosting is a really competitive market..

here are some ideas:
- List your Web site at search engines and directories
- List your Web site at malls and various local pages
- Reciprocal links
- Ezine advertising swaps
- Write articles and submit them to Web sites and ezines
- Have a sweepstakes, contest, trivia game, or other online promotion tool at
your site and announce it everywhere
- Free classified ads
- Join topic-related discussion lists and mailing lists
- Use sig files at the end of your email messages
- Participate in banner exchanges
- Participate in Web rings
- Utilize topic-related affiliate programs
- Local newspaper ads and articles (letter to the editor on some topic, whatever)
- Network with your local Chamber of Commerce

If you can provide live support from your site will also considerably help you in keeping your customers and getting new customers as well.

Google adwords is a good way to, just make sure to find lesser used keywords to use.

My first and last advise is "Be Patient". Hosting business takes a long time to get successful. Try hard and work hard, one day you will get success.
Best Luck !

Spend some time marketing your company to local businesses. You can build long last relationships with people that come to know you and trust you.
Google Adwords is very good.. Has worked for me.. But just be prepared to spend some money with it. It can get quite expensive!
Lastly.. Offer a referral program to your current clients.. If your current clients are happy, they will be willing to help spread the word for you
