Anyone have any experience with this host. I won something getting a year worth of unlimited everything and unlimited domain accts through them and I'm wondering if it's safe to move domains over there or if anyone know anything about them?
thanks,
Daniel

Daniel,
From looking at the website RIHosting.net appear to be Fasthost Resellers (
http://www.fasthosts.co.uk) although i could be wrong. Fasthosts say they allow unlimited but dont they restrict each account to a total of 10gb of bandwidth thats for the entire reseller account not just for one domain. Plus if one domain on the reseller account breaks Fasthosts terms of service all domains get shut down which i think is lousy business practice. It would be a very risky change of hosts should you decide to change over to them, As nothing is unlimited on the web.
Daniel
Thanks for the input, I emailed them about what constitues "unlimited", it would really be weak if a unlimited resellers acct is really just 10 gigs/month total, thats not much at all.

I mailed RI Hosting and invited them to join in and clarify the points that have been made.
I haven't had a reply, have you?
Daniel
Only reply I got was a copy/pasted statement stating that they have the right to boot sites that use too much bandwidth/cpu resources but still didn't clarify what that means.
Martie
Daniel....Basically 'boot sites'
means delete....and your site will be gone.
CPU resources= too much strain/bogging down the server, maybe caused by scripts, etc.
I didnt read their terms, but I would definitley advise YOU to do that if you are considering this host.
If you WON something, I would think they would have the courtesy to give a "human response" to your inquiries BEFOREHAND!
If not, my personal opinion would be to not take a chance.
OR put a site there of little or no value to TEST that free account out!!
Good Luck...keep us posted.

I would avoid any host that says "unlimited" bandwidth and diskspace. There's no such thing. A global boycott of such hosts would soon change the industry.

actually just make sure you preinform them of what you think your bandwidth will be and if they say that is ok they have to support it...make sure you keep a copy of their reply...i have been down that road my host wound up having to give me free hosting for the 6months i was with them...cause i had informed them how much.
Daniel
Well after being reassured from them about the limits of everything I felt ok, I setup a domain @ joker.com with their info and told them, that was about 2 weeks ago and I have yet to get a single email response or anything from them at all.
