I can handle all the web stuff, but I need to know these things...

1) what kind of server do I need, and where can I get it?
2) what do I need to do to get money? (i.e how does paypal work and stuff)
3) do I need to file taxes with the state?
4) is there anything else I should know?

A1) It varies depending on what you need. If you are just starting your business, you may want to look for a web hosting. As your business grows bigger, you can start thinking of having a dedicated server or your own server.

A2) I would say Paypal is great for small/medium business. It can accept credit card payment like other payment gateways do. No monthly fee!!

Please check the FAQ of paypal. Most of the buyers like paypal gateway because they did provided buyer protection
