We recently established a new Web Hosting Directory, www.HostMarker.com

This site allows web hosts to display their company profiles and web hosting plans to potential hosting customers like many directories do. Furthermore, visitors can request free quotes from registered web hosts.

So far, around 300 hosting companies registered their company profiles and web hosting plans. However, we are having problems getting traffic to the site even though considerable amount of web hosting data is present.

We have advertised on Google Adwords, Web Hosting Talk etc. but we couldn't attract many visitors to search hosting plans and request quotes. Many people liked the design of the site and ease of use.

What would you recommend to attract more visitors to this site? Any comments would be highly appreciated.

You should try some SEO (search engine optimization). They have very good tips on seochat.com.

How to get links? I didn't understand?

Identify relevant sites and buy links from this sites. It might be an idea to get a competent link evaluator to support you in this job.

Would be cheaper to just read some sites and learn to do it
