Just a few notes and details:
First of all there was never any free upgrade offered.
We had sent out explicit instructions on how to upgrade for any existing clients, the original poster disregarded those instructions and went ahead and ordered a brand new account rather than upgrading his existing one.
So here we were with two accounts: on completely seperate servers and he was still logging into the old one - and for about a year complained, none of the technicians could really figure out what was wrong: we had kept checking the new account, logging in, "showed 5 gigs - sir, your account works", continually.
Day in, day out for about 3 months until we realized he was logging into an account that was completely unrelated to the new one!
Nonetheless the issue is now "resolved" and the user is logging into the correct account.

David, you're a joke man. As an administrator you should know that any pissed customer means that there's something wrong with the company, HP dont ALWAYS have the true side of things man, you make it seem that HP is perfect. Alfez closed my account because after waiting some time for a fix on my account and not receiving the support to fix the issue properly i started swearing at Alfez like any pissed customer would do.. leave the girly talk away from this post please, i understand that swearing isn't a good idea but after some time "being a good person" waiting for a respond, patience has limits. I asked Alfez to speak with you but his answer was vague and i couldn't speak with you. Asked for a refund and he said to email Paypal... you should fire him even if he is your co-worker friend, having a co-worker who pisses customer off should be fire immediatly, these kinds of workers bring businesses down.

not sure if this will be viewed or not but here it goes..
been with Hostingplex for over a year now, i had no problems at the begining, after weeks/months passed by, i started noticing low speeds and time to time my server wasn't accessible, 99,9 uptime? first lie right there. The reason why i registered here is because i want to know one thing. Is it possible for a hosting company to close an account because a customer just sweared at the tech support person? reason i ask is because i did swear at the support tech guy "Alfez" BEcause my support tickets where not anwsered, it was over 20 days of my support ticket was still open and no fix for my account speed, after that, 2 days passed by for a simple question that i asked how to turn off register_globals, Alfez told me to create a php.ini and to upload it to root, i did but i still had register_globals on, so i responded back saying it wasnt working, Alfez responded again saying i had to put on each folder on my server so i did that with a simple shell command.. but what pisses me off is that after all the waiting, the only thing he says is, " hello, you have..blah..blah " there's no customer service like " sorry for any reply delays, we are having problems with blah...blah" he acts like if there's nothing going on and that it is normal to wait that long...wow. He then closed my account and even my OWN domain which i own was removed, i dont understand how they can get my domain password from tucows.com.
I want a refund for the 5 months left i had on my account.. is there a company to invistagate these issues? i live in canada. any help is appreciate please.
You can't just close an account because of an angry customer and not refund them back.
people working for hostingplex.com are very young persons, i spoke to Alfez over the phone and he told me he was 23 years old, he said he is the manager, i asked to speak with the Administrator "kevin" he didn't want me to speak with him for some reason, he was vague on that matter.. i'm really angry right now, he stealed my money, if anyone wants to fill a complaint against them to the cops we can build a list of all the pissed customers like us.

i want full refund, i'm not sure if Alfez has the power to close my account or not, if he dont probably you have.. I wan a full refund and there's no question i would get it.

Nice to know, and I see that this company is still running. Hope people can learn something from this case.
And one question here is how do you know the memory of your server, do you mean the disk space?
