Does their PR bandwagon ever stop! They just submitted this press release to our site.

One More in a Line of Right-On Marketing Decisions - Hits the Target 18 to 45 Male Market Where They Live BEDFORD, Texas, Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ --
First it was Evander Holyfield's boxing trunks. Then Howard Stern returns to Dallas radio. Then an auction of e-Business in a Box packages on eBay. Now C I Host, the fastest growing Web hosting and Internet solutions provider in the world, has become the Official Web Host of the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network.
"We know where we are likely to find our target market," said Christopher Faulkner, CEO of C I Host. "Most of the owners and decision-makers of the small and medium sized business that we serve are men between 18 and 45. They watch sports, they listen to Howard Stern, they find cool stuff for cheap on eBay."
A spokesperson for the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network said: "The Cowboys Radio Network website is the number one source for up to the minute information about the Cowboys for fans around the world. We chose C I Host to give us the creativity of an interactive site with the speed, reliability, and flexibility to keep up with the tremendous volume on game days."
The marketing savvy, combined with top customer service and cutting edge Internet tools at reasonable prices, has pushed C I Host to the top of its industry and kept it growing even in the midst of a troubled economy. C I Host has sold more than 3,600 of its "e-Business in a Box" kits since the product was introduced in March.
The company is adding staff and expanding into London. It is now acquiring 5,500 new customers a month, up from 5,000 a month six months ago, and still has the lowest churn rate in the industry.

I like the "marketing savy" part.

Could be very true (that part). But I knew the owner of another site who crowned himself a Marketing Genius. With in months his sit was all but dead.

I don't expect that to happen to CI and I totally agree with the saying that if you don't toot your own horn no one else will. But the starts that burn the brightest fade the quickest too.

What amazes me most about this, is the fact that throughout this week CI host have been experiencing server problems, non of which has been explained in a corporate press release. Although it has been suggested it was a result of Red Worm. Yet throughout this chaos they managed to get their PR out on time.....Priority problems if you as me
Jaiem
And that surprises you James?

Companies rarely address the negatives and always put forth the positives.

Let's not forget this is business. Image is everything.

Sorry I don't know what came over me.....I'm feeling better now I guess they used yahoo mailer to get the press release out
akashik
hehe, I can just see Chris logging into Hotmail to get that mailing out. I think they're probably just shouting louder than everyone else again with that press release. For some reason companies tend to have a lot of good news to share right about the same time as things are acting pear-shaped.

Bit Bunker springs to mind

Hey James,

In fact CIHost got what they want. You posted the whole Press-Release here and on other discussion boards. Is that not what they want??? corect me if I am wrong.
James
If they regard this as excellent promotion goodluck to them. I'll always draw to the crap that is produced by these cowboys, until the day they file for bankruptcy.
