when we used Live Helper a fair while back it was online for 2 days before it got pulled. Half the time I'd swing by the site with Live Helper running it would have the 'closed' sign up. Of the other 1/2, a large percentage of the time when I'd click the button the window would pop up, say who I was talking too, only the program wouldn't 'ring' - just dead air.
So, even though it was running over 16 hours a day, onsite it appeared that:
a/ it was only running half that amount of time.
b/ when it was running, no-one was bothering to answer.
Moved to human click and never had a problem. I agree though - it's expensive now. While we'd already been considering dropping it as the local software doesn't run on Linux, the price alone will probably guarantee that.
Even with it running on both the index, and support page, people still seem to prefer to write an e-mail when they need anything (from both sales to support).
I actually found their old pricing to be quite reasonable, if a little expensive, as it's a good service. I think they probably should have done a little more research on their current choices though.
