Hi,

I have been in the process of planning to set up a web hosting site, by the name of Ultimate Hosting UK. It has been in planning and testing stages for some time now, and has reached its "Golden Sample" stage

I have put up a few production sample images, of the working demonstration version, you're comments and suggestions are very welcome!

Note, Click on each image once it loads to view in a "non-cut down" state...i.e the size it was meant to be.

The main idea of Ultimate Hosting was always to provide users with a completely revolutionary "no bandwith limits" web hosting service for all members, free & paid. Ofcourse there would still be a space limitation, and no obvious stupid upload attempts, e.g uploading a 650mb ISO to they're account!

Obviously for something like this to work it would require a well built community of members around the site over time, but also there will be an option for members to contribute to the service if they wished.

Our "Golden Sample" server, which is here with me, is more or less top specification for this type of service, i have included the specification below for you server specialists to pick at!

Intel SC5200 Server Chassis
Delta 650w Triple Redundant Hot-Swap PSU's
5x Intel Hot-Swap System Fans
2x 5-Bay Intel Hot Swap SCA-2 Bays

Intel SE7501HG2
Intel Xeon 2.8Ghz x2
1Gb DDR PC2100 ECC REG (6Gb Max)
10x 73Gb SCA-2 Hard Drives (730Gb Total, RAID 5)
2x OnBoard Intel PRO/1000MT 1000mb NIC's (Teaming)
1x Intel PRO/1000MF 1000mb Fibre NIC (Teaming)

I need advice on a tape backup drive for that guys if anyone has any suggestions (one that will be okay with a 730gig RAID array!)

As i say, comments & suggestions as things are so far, more than welcome....but no flaming!
