Hello, I am brand new to the forum and i have a lot of questions. I want to start my own dedicated host service. I wanted to know if someone could post/email EVERYTHING i need to know, from software to install, server extensions to install like php mysql frontpage, etc. where to find all of it. where to find and how to use a control panel. and DNS.

Im sure this has been asked 100000 times but i wanted to know if someone could help answer my questions.

I suggest you contact a couple of datacenters, their sales and solution folks can help you figure out all you need to know about installing a dedicated/managed server at their facility.

Your question is too vast to answer within an email. I am not a hosting provider but may be i can suggest you a starting point. Get yourself a linux box. Install bind, php, mysql, sendmail and apache (all free). Get yourself a static ip and register its reverse ip. After you get everything working, get yourself a website, to do things online (w/ payment gateway, scripts etc.). Then embed a control panel.

You might check out the website www.howstuffworks.com for starters. This will help to explain DNS, propogation, etc. You should fully understand hosting before doing it yourself. You might consider reselling first and then graduate to your own servers.
