WHat do you guys think is the best for putting advertising money for a hosting company?
Adworks
Overture
Local Newspapers
Radio
Salesman (Heck, making some cold calling)
Advertising on like websites

Monthly budget is about $100.00

from reading the forums the starters' method, time allowing, seems to be 'warm' calling..... as far as I understand web hosts need to be in business for a while and then their favoured custom reaches them through recommendation.
But I have no experience - who knows maybe cold calling would work for you...

I would agree with zendaze.co.uk in saying that a web hosting business needs to be around for a while and have a good reputation before advertising will really pay off.
Your initial advertising would be more of a brand recognition campaign rather than a money maker.

google adwords - stay away from this especially if you are a new company and low budget. The cost/click is very high for many "hosting" related keywords and it really wouldn't take you far. Perhaps try placing a small ad in the classifieds.

With Google's AdWords, they now have a Budget Optimizer which holds and automatically manages your clicks to your budget. Which helps in keeping things from getting too expensive.

You also don't have to after the high priced keywords on Google Adwords. If your ads are effective, you can get traffic at a good price. You won't get the volume of the companies paying $5/click, but you can some decent leads.
