Hello,

About 3 years ago I was a reseller for a hosting company and had some problems with the host etc he stole my customers basically and told them I was reseller. I was looking at getting back into the hosting industry and been looking around in these forums again like I used to. Seems like so many new hosting companies up and running these days still some the old memebers here like hostcaters etc I was on the albanza network in past. The hosting companies in here the directory so many them seem so cheap now days and so many new companies. Is there anyone thats reliable and affordable or you think I'm wasting time getting back into this as so many hosting companies now days. I really did enjoy it in past. Some companies were looking at were

hostgator.com http://352hosting.com/ seems noone is offering dedicate ip#'s anymore is there reason for this?

Hi James,
Well its nice to see another old timer then
We're still around and are still with Alabanza. The industry has really taken a nose dive the past few years, BUT we've managed to hang in there. Yes, tons of hosts pop up nowdays but just as many seem to fold as quickly as they start. Most co. you find now dont offer the dedicated IP's but if you are familiar with Alabanza then you are aware we issue them per account.
We've been around since 1999 (wonder if we know each other?)
Feel free to drop me an email.

Hello james,

Sorry to hear about the previous experience you have had with the hosting company stealing your customers, these days the hosting industry is packed with no name host which seem to pop up out of nowhere. I have accumulated a series of hosts once of which offers a packaged solution including ClientExec, let me know if you need any help and I would be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

Thanks

Hello, there is always a risk of stolen customers if you are a reseller of a bigger hosting company.

Therefore, you should make sure that your main hosting provider is an ethical host and will not steal your customers. Ethical and reliable hosts would aim to provide you more customers to increase your sales and indirectly their own sales as well.

Being a hosting directory, www.HostMarker.com, we have good relationships with web hosting companies and directly contact with some of them perodically and exchange information, news, advices etc.

Please contact us from support@hostmarker.com and we can recommend you a few hosts that will not steal your customers...

You can make it easier to get back in if you choose a niche and focus on that segment, instead of the general market. So choose like clan hosting and only focus on that, you can charge more, offer cool tools just for them and advertise for cheaper.

Hosting is a competitvie business so there are always going to be other hosts that will try to steal your customers. You have to make sure that your hosting service has some other value that your customers will have trouble finding elsewhere.
